    2003 GTX supercharger inspection?

I bought a 2003 GTX supercharged today with 96 hours.
The Yamaha dealer did not know much of the history on it.

I was planning to pull the supercharger for rebuild but is there a way to see if it has been done already?
It is painted red, not sure if that's factory paint color or not?

I am installing a new battery, changing the oil, and inspecting/rebuilding the charger. Is there anything else I should be doing to it?
When I insert the key it says maint from a few seconds then goes to the normal screen. Is that due to the battery being weak or a maint reminder?

What buttons do I need to push to see the codes?

    Thank you!!

O yea I just remembered it has the factory hose clamps on the hose from the supercharger to the throttle body. so that probably means its stock right?

Rebuild it anyway for piece of mind. Search for the SC rebuild service thread and send that thing to Jerry/Greenhulk.It is painted red, not sure if that's factory paint color or not? Yes, its factory painted red for 2003

I think, bot not 100% positive, it requires a BUDS connection to reslove. Also check the impeller and wear ring which will cause cavitation.

I checked the impeller it looks good has a few scratches in the plastic wear ring but not to bad. Should I replace it anyway?

Wear ring is $50. If you do change it, make sure you start the ski in the water the first time after installing the new one. If not, you will probably melt the wear ring from the impeller rubbing on it. Swapping the wear ring will let you get close to the impeller and allow you to inspect better. You can also sharpen any slightly damaged blades.

If you change the oil you can still ride with the main light. It is just a reminder. BUT you will need to remember the hours on the ski as the reminder doesnt reset until you hook it to BUDS. I rode with the main light for a year.

Make sure you check your oil filter cap. If its the plastic one that came with it in '03, upgrade it to the modern aluminum version. The plastic caps are known to warp and leak.
