    xcharger and 08 oil mod

I picked up a Xcharger that came from a 2011 rxpx, I plan on putting it in my 06rxt.

Do I have to do the 08 oil mod?
If I dont do it what could the result be?

    thanks
    Bill

It does not have to be done but the mod does help cool the slip washers.

I have been running a 2Rude without the oiler mod with no issues but also had riva washers.

With that being said I do have the oiler mod with my R3 setup now.

I have been told it would help. As long as you have the right oil jet in the block also.

The 08' oiling mod for the s/c has nothing to do with the oil jet in the block, thats for the head/valvetrain.

Oh I beg to differ..... If you add the oil squiter to a motor that never had you need to change out the oil jet to 08 and neewer or you starving the top end for oil... If I am worng I wasted a head gasket and upgraded to head stud

after reading the sticky above the rocker is the restrictor for 06 up and the 05 down uses a in block restrictor
If you put a restrictor in the 05 down system the head will be starved because the rocker only has 1 oil hole and the newer 06 up have 3
The oil system was not changed between 06 and 08 except for the SC oiler and the SC oiler is below the restrictor on both systems

I think it's the other way around!

Seadoo states: If using an 06+ head on an 05 and older block you must remove the check valve in the block. You can update the oiling system to a 06+ by removing check valve in block and running an 06+ rocker shaft. The rocker shaft is now the restrictor.
