new GTR 215 - break in period?

Just picked up my new GTR two weeks ago, only have about 3 hours on it right now. I was told that it will wake up even more after the 5 hour break-in, does anyone have any idea how much it will wake up? As far as speed/top end? Had her up to 61mph on glass this past Sunday.

I followed the break in procedure for the 5 hrs. I varied the rpms and only went wot for 1-2 second bursts. After 5 hours I did high speed runs. I got 68 mph with slight chop, vts one below all the way up, half tank of reg. and air temp in the 80s. This thing hauls ass. Gotta get the speed overide module to see the real top end numbers, estimating its 70 or over.

Thanks for the responses guys. Already in love with this ski and have only been on it for 3 hours! I have a buddy with a 2012 Yamaha VXS and he has been top dog in the "group" that I ride with during the summer. Can't wait to show him some competition!

Seen them hit 71ish and that is GPS based speed on the dash with the speed limit removal. Amazing for stock IMO!

'71-ish' is pert darn respectable for 'Doos 'entry level musclecraft.

I can't wait till I finally get a lil time off to hit the water here in FLA with mine...

I don't think there is one out yet for the '12 ski's. I could be wrong, but I didn't see them. Just the '10 and '11 ski's. The only available SCOM so-to-speak is the V-Tech Reflash. It will remove the Speed Limiter, increase the rev limiter (by 50 rpm's or so) and it will really wake that ski up.

I hear those skis are loud ... like an echo chamber ? Sounds like it is about to explode? Is that true ?
