    84mm vs 87mm 155mm nozzle

    Which is the better choice for a lightly modded (head, reeds, jetted pipe, 14/18 923 impeller) XPL?

    87 mm will cavitate and put you over the rev limiter. With pitch taken out of the -923 you most likely will be on the rev limiter w/ the 84 mm, but the 84 is the better choice to begin with and tune the impeller from there.

    98-02 GTX 951's also have them, but the mounting for the trim ring needs to be drilled and tapped and the top and bottom holes need set screws to cap them off.

    All 951 power 2 seaters 98-07 excluding the 97.5 GSXL w/ an 87.x mm that can be bored VERY large, 98 GSXL with an 87.x mm and the 99 GSXL w/ the 84.x.

    Stock xpl was 85.5. Check ur calipers. There r 3 versions. 84,85.5 and 87
