2001 XLT 1200 speedometer not working

gauge appears to be working on everything else but speedometer just reads a big 0, it actually displays a 0 like its ready just not moving, wire appears to be intact from the little paddle wheel all the way to the gauge, where do i start ? anybody else run into this problem ? i assume the little paddle wheel sensor isn't working.

first check if the wheel are moving freely , hit the sensore lift and right to the wheel by the back of the screw like nocking the door but wihtout break it , start the ski and watcht eh metre , let other guy rotate the wheel and check apeed if it working
