    Pump and prop

    I am almost finished with my FZR build:
    -Power filter
    -Engine breather
    -Manifold upgrade
    -E1 housing and wheel
    -Fuel pressure regulator
    -3 bar mape sensor
    -1000cc fuel injectors
    -riva waterbox
    -SC shaft upgrade
    -titanium valve retainers
    -innercooler and blow off valve
    -160mm wear ring
    -riva exit nozzle
    -Magnum pump
    This is going to be raced in open class and I dont care about top speed, I am just trying to get off the line as hard as possible. I have been trying to figure out where to start with prop. What do you think will be the right pitch to start with and what is the best grease to use on the pump bearings and where can I get it?

    i think it all depends on what rpms you are going to spin if you are going to go with the stock rpms 7600 i think you prop is going to at a 13/25 to 13/26 with a solas prop

    Closed course........twin prop, inducer-15/18, main-14/20. Tweek it to spin at least 8650 rpm

    use a skat prop the solas will give you alot of cavitation on holeshot which is not what you are after on closed course racing. start at 13/23 and pitch from there.

    sounds like he is running a 160mm magnum pump.
    I have seen alot of guys start with a SKAT 13/20 or a 13/21 running a E1 wheel. He did not say if it was a 8/12/14 vein magnum. I would assume a 12 vein pump.
