    New-ish member, 2009 RXPX

Long time lurker, and decided to actually post. After selling my 96XP couple years ago, I missed the water so much after 10 plus years with the XP, that I had to get back to the water. So I purchased a low hour RXPX, 2009 Model, and so far so good!

Welcome, and congrats on the purchase... I have a 09 rxp-x also... I can tell you stock mine did about 69 mph (full gas and I'm about 240lbs) If you do anything to it I suggest getting a new intake grate... Read my post on it... for the 160 you spend it adds about 3 mph and the holeshot is aweswome!!! Here's a link for the grate to get...

(you may have to copy and paste it in...)

You will be amazed at the differance. I will be doing some testing and adding info on performance on mine so stay tuned to see what works best...
    Have fun!

Thanks guys, I live and ride in the middle TN area, mainly Center Hill Lake. RipNSKI, I have actually read all your posts on the grate, and will probably do a grate, I just don't want to lose any hook up while
shooting across the Lake, and maybe I won't with a new grate, idk. I'm also thinking about opas block offs and maybe a riva handle bar drop. I know on my 96 XP, I had a inventioneering intake grate, that was one of the single best mods I ever did!

I think the stock grate and OPAS make the PX handle weird on chop and jumping from roller to roller. The ski feels like the nose is being forced down when you hit the next roller. You just need to go out and ride some.

I had a Inventioneering grate on one of my old SDs. Best grate design, I think, too.
