2003 gp1300r no spark
I just finished dropping in a GP1300 engine that I finish rebuilding. Well te engine cranks over just fine and I'm getting fuel from fuel pump, but no sparkat all. I checked the for a code and it is giving me an 01 code which according to the service manual is NORMAL. Any idea on what else I should be looking at?? I have extra coils from a GP1200R and tried one of those but still no spark on any of the 3 plugs??any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have your throttle cable adjusted correctly? Make sure the throttle plates are closed all the way, if not it wont start. Check this first.
Make sure all electric connections are good.

It keeps blowing one of the 3A fuses, so I'm thinking that may have something to do with the spark issue
I'll check the throttle cable also.

Wondering about the throttle issue?? So if the throttle is not closed it will not send power to spark plugs??? What sensor is causing this the TPS sensor??? Just wondering what could cause it not to send power to coils??

Well to others that have this issue, it ended being the throttle cable!! After I took all the tension off the cable at the trigger, she now fires up every time!! Also that 3A fuse that keeps blowing is from a bad RULE bilge pump that is hidden in the back behind the mid wall . Thanks for all the help once again!! Freakin' Throttle Cable!!!
