help cant get jugs back over 785 pro pistons??

I have tried every trick in the book to get the jugs to slide down over the pistons,
the tool from Orielly's will not work, it doesn't UN latch so once the jug is on, you cant get the tool out,
I have tried red solo cup, milk jug plastic, tape, everything,

    any ideas?????????????????

I have been trying that, the mag ones squeezed in and did not spring back out, they were lined up good, but they were staying in, so I got the jug on the mag on at least,
I was thinking of pulling the pin and piston then putting the piston in the jug, then put the pin back on?
I will go back out and try some more

I used some larger sized zip ties from home depot, and they held the rings in nicely. As the pistons/rings slid into the cylinder, I cut the ties off. michael

Thats what I ended up doing when I rebuilt mine. That way you can put the jug upside down on a flat surface and focus 100% on the piston instead of haveing to squeeze the rings and hold the jug at the same time.

I just got them in, I had to hold the piston with the left hand and kind of turn the jug so my fingers fit up in that recessed part, yea!!! they are all in,
now comes the fun part hooking up the tipple pipes,
    thanks for everyone's help,

If you're rings weren't "springing" back out, you may have them installed incorrectly.

They are a beveled ring, and if installed up-side down, they will not move freely. Beveled edge faces up.

Make sure you have them installed correctly, or you will have a serious issue really soon.

+1 They should be really easy to install with just your fingers.

easiest way ive done it is setting the jug slightly leaning on the piston on the opposite side of the gap on the rings ,then squeeze the gap side of the rings and it will slide on easy...
