    looking for a tach

does anyone know where i can buy a good tach. i have read in some previous threads that the best way to tune the carbs is with a tachometer.once i have the tach installed can anyone tell me what kind of rpm range i should look for while tuning the carbs. i read somewhere that i can tune them using several sets of spark plugs but that can be risky to the engine because of running on a lean condition. any feedback will be appreciated.

Lot's of people use Tiny Tach's as they are the cheapest I believe. Some are as much as $300, Tiny Tach is only $50 and should get the job done just fine.

+1 I love mine. Just make sure you buy the commercial version and check the instructions for which setting to use on your ski.

I was told by them yes. I am ordering one for my ski to try. Really anything designed for a snowmobile or dirt bike should be sealed enouh for us. They are a local company so I figured I would give them a try. Im still contemplating on their GPS with Tach computer....
