Any news on Ultra 250X delivery?

Any news on when people are getting their Ultra 250X? I thought Kawasaki received the spark plug wires last week.

They have a lot of crated skis to open to install the new plug wires. Common sense would dictate sending the wires to the dealers for a simple install without doing it at the factory on the skis boxed and ready for shipment. Seems "sense" is a lost word in today's world.

Supposedly the wires were arcing and creating the possibility for igniting any fuel vapors in the engine compartment.

I heard that 3 or 4 early production Ultras blew up, causing painful injury to the operators who all speak with a higher note, squeaky voice, as a result of the accident !!!!! Prior to the explosion, the riders all said the boat had balls, something the riders now lack. !

    LOL...couldn't resist !!!

From the Ultra I had seen in person, and from looking at every photo of the engine compartment posted on the forums, it appears that the outer layer of insulation on some of the plug wires doesn't extend up to the plug boot. Perhaps this is the area where the wires are leaking voltage ??

Delivery? I got mine Dec 27, 2006. Oh, wait. Its still sitting quietly in the corner at the dealership. Last I heard, the plug wires were released on the 9th. So now theyre telling me 1-16-07 tuesday, for delivery. To bad its 0 deg out -15 windchill and 6 inches of snow!!

I hate winter....No, I mean it....Why was I put on this earth to be stuck in Ne...Some one is playing a cruel joke on me.

Two weeks ago it was in the 60's.

    Hey 427

Did those plug wires come in?? I might be heading over to
    Autozone if it were me........
We're counting on you for the first performance figures from a
real live person........not all these 2nd hand stories from "those in
    the know" !
From the pix I'm seeing on TV you'd better be careful running a
    trailer down those roads!!
    Good Luck!

Even with plug wires, it may be some time before the snow and ice melts enough to find water to float the boat. That part of the country is getting OL' Man Winters fury. I feel for you. Perhaps by then there will be hords of Ultras running around sunny FL ????
