How many times is everyone pulling the primer plunger?

We recently went premix and installed primers on both machines. The GPR still requires much more cranking than it should to get it started, really about the same as it did before the primer install. I'm pulling the primer 3-4 times, is that enough? I didn't want to flood it but I'm not sure what the norm is. I'm also afraid to just keep cranking it given there's no fuel, and therefore no oil.

Ok, thanks. If that doesn't do it I'll feel more confident it's a carb issue. It's also topping out at 58mph on the gps, which with the hard starting again points to the carbs. The original owner said he rebuilt them cause he's a car mechanic and knows how to do that stuff .

The number of time you primp depends on the length of the line too, if you have a clear line like me, you can actually see the first few pump doesn't even fill up the line. I have my input line install on the return fuel line. So what I do is that I do is that I remove the frame arrested and start pumping and count how many time I pump before I can get gas to goes into the carbs. Then that is how many time you pump. I have a old ski that I have the line too long that will take 10 pump to get gas into carb.

We ran our primer to the excelerator jets so it would spray dirrectly twards the reeds instead of blowing it in air box or bottom of carbs. By doing this u can feel the pressure of the fuel wonce lines r full. O and we plumbed the pickup line to primer from the "on"line the reserve line goes thru filter then strait to carbs. Only issue this has made is priming ski wile on buzzer ,it isnt happening
