2009 VX Cruiser problem, not reaching top speed, now wont start

Hi guys, first post here, been lurking for a while.
I have a 2009 Yamaha VX Cruiser (25 hours use)

I recently lost my car licence, so I couldnt take the jetski out for 4 months, it was just sitting there over summer.

    Heres the problems:

I took it out yesterday and noticed that it would accelerate fine but not go over approx 54km/h (learner mode was not on)
thought not much of it, rode around for another hour.

Then i hit a pretty rough wake, straight after that it ran crap, like it would do 10km/h max then suddenly accelerate hard then back off, after a few minutes, it eventually would only do 10km/h.

then it got even worse, it started stalling. a few more minutes go by and it wouldnt start at all (had to get towed back), it turns over but just doesnt fire.

    A few things to consider:
I had a full tank of fuel sitting in it for over 4 months.

    cheers for the help guys.

hmmm, it might be your fuel system is clogged because of your fuel sitting there for that much of time, check if the fuel is getting to the injectors or not by disconnecting the hose that coming from the fuel pump to the fuel rail. also spark plugs could cause all that sort of things, it might be the fuel pump as well!!so many things to check I guess, but mainly, it would be something with the fuel system (hopefully). Hope I helped
