I have a 1996 seadoo GTX, but I lost the ignition key, i have looked but haven't found a replacement for it. Anyone know where to get one or do I have to buy a whole mpem with a key to get one?

All you need to do is get a key and get it programmed for your Mpem.
If you take it to the dealer, you may have to provide ID

yes, proof of ownership would be required...
and is it a DESS key or just a push-button key?
my 95gtx has only a kill switch that is disengaged by a cap,
which is sort of a key, but features no security from theft what so ever (can be pressed and held by a finger)
a dess key needs to be programmed .
hope i helped.
