785 water entering the mid cylinder when the ski is upright

Hi polaris friends. I just got my 785 running and during break in I have water rushing in to the mid cylinder once the ski is off. Also the exhaust is full of grey water oil mix on the outlet. Wondering what is wrong, I am hopeing the pipe is not cracked!

it is a 97 I did the water routing as shown on here. Also I got the water out, fired it up with the plug out then ran it for about 5 mins to steam it out.

is the water rushing in when running it on a hose or from riding it in the lake ???

The one thing I noticed is the water injection 4 way, I did not have low as noted in the workshop manual, I had it at deck level. Going to fix that tomorrow.

Will do on the fog. I just rebuilt this engine and wanted to make sure that no leaks or issues were found so I have the ski on the trailer with the pump out and water going in via the pump inlet. I have a water leaking coming from my water outlet oring and maybe one from somewhere else. Anyhow, the engine is fine no water during running but when I go to remove water from the hull the mid cylinder has it rushed in.

you need to shut the water off before you stop running the engine and don't turn the water on until the engine is running or you could hydrolock the motor

No not yet I figured since I was only going to idle it for 5 mins I left it out so the pipes could get water.
