It's me again>..... just bought a used 2000 polaris genesis and I am not sure where the dipstick is to check the oil. Is there one?? or do you just rely on the dashboard?? I know this is probably and idiotic question but please help.

There's no dipstick. You can look at the oil tank to see how much oil in there. Pop the hood open, take out storage bin it's the smaller tank sitting on top of gas tank.

I am not aware of a forward storage bin on the Genesis. Pop the seat off and look at the small tank the sits on top of the larger fuel tank and see if there is oil in it. You can also pop the sender unit out of the tank and slowly lift it up and down to make sure it working. You will be able to tell if the indication on the MFD changes. Cheers.
