    what is a "red label" j-pipe?

    The Red Label J-pipes are made out of inconel and the white label J-pipes are made from SS.

    How can u tell the diff. I've never see none with any lables. I guess welding ss bung to an inconel pipe must work

    Mine has a red label. Typically the finish will be more dull with inconel. It has a higher nickel content and will be much more tolerant to heat over time than stainless. I may be wrong, but thats what i gather.
