    pump cone and nozzle

Hi all, i curently am running a r3 with a et 15.5 wheel fizzle intercooler water cooled housing.tbm pump cone. and all the other usual mods on a sho. i have a skat prop pitched to 16/25. i have no cavitation now with my tbm pump cone. want to improve acceleration and bring my rpm's down slightly as im at 8700. what is the best size to bore my pump cone and steer nozzle to or a good size to start at. im at 80 mph and dont really want to loose too much top end. im thinking maybe 82mm nozzle. what does every one else recommend. have access to a machine shop for free so dont really want to by a nozzle if i can at this time.

If you bore the steering nozzle out it might have a small effect on the rpms - it might raise them even a bit higher.

To bring rpms down you either need to either
pitch your current impeller up higher
get a larger diameter impeller, maybe a 160 mm
reduce the diameter of the pump reduction nozzle

I'd leave the steering nozzle as is
