    94 sl750 cracked hull :(

Hi everyone, I recently noticed this crack in the hull on the port side drain. This probably was from the previous owner because he put a ton on performance parts in this pwc and raced with it and wasnt always the gentlest on it lol. My questions are, 1. Is it safe to ride? 2. Can it be patched/fixed? It surprisingly doesn't leak. Maybe a tad bit possible but nothing drastic. Thanks everyone!

It's probably worth fixing to ensure the crack doesn't expand. If it were me I'd do the following. First find the ends of the crack and drill a 3/16" hole to stop the spreading. Be sure to use 2 part epoxy. That hull is SMC and standard polyester resin won't bond properly. Use a couple layers of heavy woven cloth on the inside and fine cloth on the outside. Use faring compound mixed with resin on the outside to smooth it then paint.

I used this method on a 1 1/2" X 4" hole in one ski and it was aS strong as new when I finished.

Awesome thanks for the advice! Now to patch the inside do I have to remove the gas tank or anything else inside the ski? I dont remember what it looks like inside by that area and I dont have the ski with me. Thanks again

If its in your way then it needs to be removed or moved out of your way.

Yea I know that, I just dont have the jetski near me right now to take a look inside. I was hoping if someone had pictures or knew if anything had to be removed. I just wanted to know because if something has to be removed then its going to add a lot more time to this repair. Thanks
