    Pump question.. After rebuild

Pump was just installed back on ski with fresh bearings and ss wear ring and 14/19 prop.. Upon start up everything sounded nice and tight, no rattle noise, no sound at all.. Now with about 4-5 hours of ride time the rattle sound is back.. Is this normal? Or is something already going bad or loose? Thanks

It's normal. Prop hitting the ring. As you ride, it eats away at the ring and settles in. It's the prop striking the ring when it is out of the water. Completely normal.

Thought so.. I have a stainless ring so I sure hope it's not "eating away at the ring".. I'm just wondering, it's not new to me, I've heard the seadoo "rattle" for over 300 hours now and on previous skis, just sounded so smooth and no rattle upon first start up after all was installed with fresh bearings, I wish it would stay tight like that

It's just eating away your impeller now with the ss ring.

Yea, but is it normal? Alignment was checked some time ago and was good.. I've always heard the rattle, just didn't when I first installed pump this time with fresh bearings.. After a few hours of ride time, normal seadoo pump rattle is back.. Normal or no?
