I guess you have checked your spark plugs?
How about installing back the stock impeller and stock map and see how it goes?
    2rude washer slipping?
    Do you have a FPR?

Does the RPM goes over 7800 when the jetski is on the tralier? Try using your ECU on a different jetski. Check that there is no problem with the ECU. IF everything is working as it should and your RPM are still 7800, return it back to stock and make sure you are getting stock performance, if you do, buy a new v-tec. If you dont send it to the dealer for them to check and fix.

    Good luck.

You guys both have V-tech and 2rude SCs, sounds likely its the same problem.

So is the V-tech tune specifically designed for the 2rude SC?

Have you told V-tech and asked them to double check the tune parameters for that particular tune? Maybe its just a buggy tune if you are both having the same problem?
