Thumbs down V-Tech Stage 4 Test

    Sup guys,

Just finished testing a Yamaha FX SHO with the new V-Tech Stage 4 reflash.

The FX has 1000cc injectors, Fizzle Cooler, ET18psi, ST13/23, RC2 Cams and Riva Cam Gears(+5,-2).

It also has all the engines internals upgraded.

The idle was too rich no matter where I keep the FPR, I tried it from 55psi to 25 psi and the best I got was 10.3AFR. I even tried to run it without the FPR, still too rich in the idle(8.3AFR).

I Installed the powershot and tried to tune the AFR but still the idle was too rich.

In the top speed the AFR was ok, 11.3 to 12.2 in different FPR and powershot modes.

Top speed was 78.9 and 18psi boost.

I am so confused now, how can solve the idle issue? And isn't too slow for such settings?

Mahmoud, from where did you get this ECU? I checked and you have not ordered the stage 4 V-Tech programming from the store. Did you buy the ECU from someone else?

    Some things to help you.
DO NOT run a powershot with the V-Tech tuning
Also, stock fuel pressure non rising rate for the stage 4
The V-Tech tuning is for stock cams!!!
I know when I went with after market cams on my FZR I had to make lots of changes in my MoTeC file to get it to run right.

    Hope that helps!

Hey Jerry, this is no my ski, it's my friend's FX and he got it from your store. He mentioned the cams and all the mods on his ski in the order.

The FPR is set to NRR and I disconnected the powershot now.

There is also a BOV squeal through the acceleration, but I stops when WOT.
