ID:	269139Guys I've been going over my sho and found the silicone hose split,
This was only found as the bov clamp was loose and allowing the bov to rotate
Is this normal for a 8 hour bov and does anyone know if the hose only can be bought
Pretty shabby for a 8 hour bit of kit
Look forward to your replys and thanks in advance

I have the same kit from Riva and the BOV does rotate a little if you force it. I would say that is NOT normal wear, I would contact Riva directly and that part has a 1 year warranty on it.

I've seen them pop up every now and again in the classifieds. I would still contact Riva though as it is only 8 hours old. If you are really in a jam and need to ride, wrap some rescue tape around the tear.

Ouch, that is not normal I would say, especially at 2hrs. Mind me asking why you replaced the stock Riva clamp with the worm style clamp?

I honestly just realised that. My mechanic did that without me even noticing. I think it's because at first I used this hose on my ski for 1hr on my ski then upgraded to the power cooler and didn't need the hose anymore and just needed the BOV. So I don't know if that clip is a one time use clip or if my mechanic lost it. But then my pops got his ski and we put a brand new BOV on that hose and after another hour of use I noticed a sudden drop in power. When I reach home I saw a wide gaping hole staring at me and my on the next side of the ski just hanging there on the vacuum hose. Lol

I had to use an aftermarket clamp as well as mine spat the BOV out within a few hours of fitting it, sudden loss of boost while out on long ride just to lift the seat and see my new bov swinging by the vacume hose and getting chewed up on the front of the block and supercharger all round not been a good Riva bov experience for me..

my hats off to gashog301 tho cos hes sending me a hose out friday
