Thread: jet works

guys its late here and i'm fitting my jet works kit tonight rather than sleep...cant find for sure which side the rubber gasket goes water box or stinger side..looked at how to thread and it does not say only place rubber gasket here...would have thought water box side so metal one takes any heat the cooling water wont pick up....

You are not in any immediate danger. I didn't think anyone sold/used the rubber gaskets any more. It will work fine, but over time it may deteriorate.

Yeah my Island kit is rubber as well.

I have a rubber gasket thing also. What should I use?

The material we use is HIGH DUROMETER HIGH TEMP BUNA-N SHEETING. We havent had 1 report of a gasket failure.
the gasket goes on the flange side closest to the waterbox. The water pressure from the pump will be greater than the pressure from the pipe so you will want the "rubber" gasket being supported by the stock metal one

I used the black rubber for 3 years and had zero problems. It looks and feels like new.
