How do I remove stock air box on 2012 RXP X

Im installing a 4" cold air intake on my 2012 RXPX. I cant get the stock air box past the steering cable bracket and the gas tank sending unit top. All hoses have been removed accept the short hose on air box. I talked to Riva tech, he is saying you dont have to remove anything and there is a sweet spot. Can anyone please help. Thank you!

I read somewhere on GH that if you take the 3 screws out of the front and back of the airbox top , it will seperate and you dont have to remove half of the crap Riva says to remove

+1. I believe the only thing you need to remove for this method is the fuel tube from the filler cap to the tank.

you can move the vent tubes around and get it out

I've installed the Riva, just follow the directions. You will have to remove the fuel pump. That being said run your tank as dry as possible. Also take note of the rubber gasket that sits just inside the fuel tank opening when pulling out the fuel pump. I lost mine for a while...it fell into the tank. My tank was full....not fun.

My other thought is if this is the only mod your going to do, I wouldn't waste your time and pain to do it. I raced my stock 2010 rxpx260 over and over again and saw no gain. Just my 2 cents.
