the ratio is right for 40:1
5 Gallons = 640 Ounces
640/16=40

4. dude, the ratio thing doesn't work for me. how many ounces of oil per gallon of fuel??

Thanks

5. Do the math 3.2 oz per gallon
5gal divide by 16 oz = 3.2 oz per gallon

Thanks, but the "math" specifically is not what I meant. I want to verify if 16 oz, or 3.2 oz of oil per gallon is even accurate to begin with. Perhaps it should be 10 oz for every gallon of fuel or 20 oz etc..etc..

The correct ratio of Gas to oil is 40:1
5gal. Gas to 16Oz of oil
So your mechanic told you the right Ratio.

Someone didnt do well in math jk
For a 40:1 ratio 5 gallons of gas per 16OZ of oil. As stated above buy a Ratio Rite cup, it makes things a lot easier BUT it only goes up to 2.5 gallons so you have to double it.

10. SEADOOS 1993-1999 2 STROKE are required to have at-least 3.2 oz. per gallon, which equals the 3.2oz. x 5 gallons= 16 0z. of oil

Easy as pie!
