Thread: GP1200 No oil??

    GP1200 No oil??

    JUst bought this 97 GP1200 Compression in two outter cylinders is 110 middle was about 50.
    Next i looked at the oil lines

    Looks like two Are disconnected / Only the flywheel is hooked up I guess this is the only place it injects oil

    So I Guess it suck it through the crabs only?? (I Just bought another SeaDoo and That dumps oil down below also)
    The two good clyinder look great can still see the Crosshatch. The MIddle one the rings are seized to the piston and a few groves in the wall not really bad? What do you think?




    So It looks like the the Crank is dry on that cylinder also the bottom bearing seems fine no side to side play more than the rest

    What you think I should do?????
    Replace oil lines and longer
    New #2 piston rings and bearings kit

    What about the wall? Could i buy a used stock sleeve (no machineing
    or Could I just Have only that cylinder bored .25 over and throw a used yammi .25 piston in there

    Oil injection injects at the carbs only.
    Oil pump is mounted on front of crank and feeds oil to all 3 carbs.
    Two options are fix oil lines or remove pump and mix your oil and gas in the gas tank.

    I wouldnt trust that crank after what its been through it might work but it wont last long imo.
    Cylinder #2 is shot it will need rebored or resleeved then bored.
    #1 and #3 would need a hone at least.
    What size bore do you have now ?

    You really want to stay at the same bore size on all 3 cylinders so you might want to resleeve so that you only have to bore 1 cylinder.
    When fiting pistons to cylinders you mic the piston then bore the sleeve to size.
