ok before i change out the ecm is there any thing that i could have missed . I checked the manual and i have 12 volt going to the coil , disconnect the ECM connector and check the continuity of appropriate circuit and i have continuity going from pin 29 to the coil also like the manual says so is there any thing else i can check before i take it to the stealership to have it replaced $$$$

    How old are the plugs

  6. #6
Just FYI, the ECM connectors are very prone to the pins going bad, not making good contact. The connector is only rated for like a dozen connects/disconnects. Even though you might have continuity between the connector contact and coil, it is possible that the contact is damaged so it doesn't make good contact with the ecm pin. Have you looked at it very closely under high magnification?

Check it again with your old plugs, doesn't say a thing to have installed new plugs, new plugs can be bad to.
Not saying this is the case, but just check to be sure

I don't see any pic of the grounds.

Did you inspect the ECU connector pin under magnification for that coil? You need to do this if you haven't.
