    Looking for 2nd ski have 2007 250x

I'm looking for a ski to leave on in Florida, riding in Gulf off of Bradenton. I love my 250x except I had to replace super charger at 100 hrs, I'm thinking of the ultra lx,so I won't have sc issue,is the maintenance better? is the ride any different other than slower? At this point in life I only get to spend about 4 weeks down in FL. so would be stored a lot .
    Thanks for any input Kent

There are 2 different lx's, the naturally aspirated 160 hp version, same hull as your 250, the new LX ( 2011 and newer ) is same as ultra 300x. I absolutely loved the handling of my 250x, LX 160 will be exactly same but slower.

Actually. The LX is just the LX there is the 260 LX and the 300lx no number in front of the LX means NA the others are the sc version

Replacing SC belt at 100 hours is normal. 70+ $ belt vs. 400+ for clutches on other SC skis so not a bad deal.

The Ultra LX would offer you a great handling ski with low maintenance. Good fuel economy. They are great skis.
Besides slower ride (55-57 top speed) the ride is a little different as it is alot lighter than the SC (250/260/300) ski. No SC, no intercooler. It does not "Plow" thru the chop quite the way the SC skis do and the less hp (-100) makes it feel different.
Based on the description of what you would like I would say you'd be happy.

Thanks,on my 250x it wasn't the belt is was the supercharger it self that failed, the dealer said it would be about a $3000 fix, I had the extended warranty & was replaced at no charge, thats what scares me about buying a used one out of warranty. my budget for this ski is in the 5-$9000. range
