    2012 RXP-X Stero Install

    Hey guys,

Figured I would share my quick project with you. Just finished an install of a stereo on my new 2012 RXP-X. Always wanted to have music on my ski, now I do! In the future I might do a right up and easy step by step install of these products. I know this was not the cheapest route, but I believe in using high quality products to get the best results. Below are a few links to the products used, pics, and a video showcasing the install. I will try to get some more videos of it on the water and maybe some better pics of the install itself.

    Amp:

    Speakers:

    YouTube Video:

Let me know what you guys think and I will be checking back her as much as possible.

    Thanks for your interest!!!

Grats on the install and reaching a goal. I'm sure it's satisfying. Alot of peeps on the water gonna be asking you about that I'm sure. Really cool.

I looked at the amp rating and the speaker ratings...be careful on volume. Seems the amp is a bit underpowered for the speakers and more speakers are blown from an underpowered amp than from too much power.

    Take care!

Yeah, I know its slightly underpowered, but I don't think it is too severe. 15watts RMS from the amp to 30 watt RMS speakers shouldnt be too bad. I might swap around the wiring and run them at 2ohm instead which would help boost it up to 25 watts RMS.

Had it out on the water yesterday. Can hear everything very easily most of the times. The only time it was hard to hear was when I was pounding through 2-3 foot chop. The constant engine revs and loud splashes over powered the tunes.

It doesn't really affect any of my storage at all. The speakers only go in about 1 and a half inches. I actually siliconed a cheap velcro cell phone case to the side wall to keep my phone out of the bottom just in case water gets in through the speakers somehow. I will try to get a picture for you shortly.
