What ride plate to run ...Riva or OEM ?

Hey guys , Iam bit unsure which way to go ...

I have had both on , pefer the way the Riva rides but been told the the OEM has more top end ....

I have both plates side to side and the Riva looks like it would have more top end with the cut angle of the back ....

Which way to go, ski is stripped and flipped .... Now would be the time to make the changes ..

So any info would help ???

If you like the way the Riva handles I'd stick with that. I didn't really like the way the high speed turning is with the Riva, but have learnt to live with it. Think it was just a matter of getting used to the difference.

Make sure you get the grinder out to get a decent fit. I could not imagine running it untouched with the way it fitted up to my ski.

On a 08-11 PX the RIVA plate is about 2-3 mph faster than a modded a stock plate, if you set it up right. The PX will stuff though with the RIVA plate.

Yeah I will check the plate ... I did a dry rin and the plate buckles a bit .... So yes it looks like a bit of grinding ...

I like the way the Riva plate rides and some of my mates hate it ... It s all up to the rider ....

So it looks like Riva plate again with heat exchanger ....

    Thanks guys ....

Nice speed. I have been running that set up on my 09 PX. No sign of stuffing up to 85.0 mph.

I just got my modded plate back from speedfreeks, looks top notch. I haven't had time to get on the water to test it out. Still buttoning up a few other things on the ski from over the winter.

I didn't like the riva plate on my RXT at first because it would bounce on a duck ripple but I liked the way it tracked so instead of grinding away I shimmed with 1mm washers on the rear 2 mounts & now it handles a lot better but pretty much the same speed as the OEM. Same top speed but much, much better in the chop, I'll take it!!
