What should I want my RPM's to be

I have done a few mods to my 2004 RXP and wondering if I need to change my impeller. Running a X charger 42# injectors 3" riva intake with a solas 14/19 and turinig 8100 to 8150 RPM's. Should I move up to the 15/20 or is turning 8150 OK? Will a 15/20 get me more top end at the cost of some bottom end?

What where you turning before the mods? 8150 is right where you want to be but I would think your mods should have you on the limiter.

Im running basically the same setup on one of my 04's with same rpms. 15/20 will be a bit steep unless you go to external ic

on an 04 stock ECU you want your RPMs to be at 8100/8120..your soft limiter will start kicking in around the 8200 mark give or take...IF i remember right the 04/05 kick in a little sooner though...i could be wrong...

If you run on the limiter you will drop a valve at 8150 you should see it backing up =against limiter
around 8050-8100 will be much safer
Seadoo upgraded the valves in 07 to go with the x charger be careful dropped valve =$3000+ repair bill

how will you drop a valve running on the limiter???????? when running on the limiter the ecu pulls timing .... has nothing to do with dropping a valve

8100-8150 is fine for a stock ecu on a 05- 06 you will have to pitch your prop accordingly to achieve that

My ski is an '04 I am turning between 8100 and 8150 the tach runs in 50 rpm increments. I have not felt the limiter is the 8150 safe to run? will the rpms decrease as the air temp rises as it will be getting hotter here in Florida.
should I switch prop to 15/20
