    2012 rxt 260 - no service till 25 hours?

Hello everyone. This is my first post here, and I have a question (more like looking for reassurance from you old hands).

I bought my first ski last August - a 2010 rxt 215 and the maintenance book says first service after 10 hour break-in.

I just picked up a 2012 rxt 260 and the book says no service until 25 hours. This concerns me a bit in that I don't want to F up the warranty or anything...(I will call the dealer to make sure also - just wanted to touch base in here first).

And it's just a bit perplexing how two skis with just a couple years between them and almost identical motors (maybe not identical) can list such drastically different maintenance schedules.

According to the book the 2012 doesn't require any oil change...or anything else for that matter until the 25 hour mark. But the 2010 215 needed it at 10 hours.

Do any of you find this a bit peculiar?

BRP recently changed their recommendations on the first service and SC rebuild.....25 hours for 1st service and 200 hours on SC rebuild, if you have the most current SC kit installed or a new ski

New ski meaning 2012 or 2011 and up?

That's extremely beneficial to the customer. I mean an increase from service at 10 hours to 25 hours is no small accomplishment. Does it reflect a perfection of the technology, perhaps? I have to think the dealers weren't happy about that.

I'm sure the dealers will figure a way to recoup the money
