    Question about Riva ECU

If a riva ecu has been activated to a 2006 rxp, what needs to be done to move it to a different 2006 rxp?

It needs to be hooked up to the BUDS system and married to the MPEM and you will also need to have your keys programmed to it....

Initial activation on a new Riva ecu is mainly to give BRP a heads up to go ahead and void your factory warranty... if you still have one. Not positive on the 06's.... but on 04-05's you can move the ecu from ski to ski without any issues. Obviously you have to use key's that were programmed to the Riva ecu, or use BUDS - CanDoo to add your original key(s) to it.

ECU is married to the Cluster not the MPEM...

Don't forget to set the TPS

Gotcha, my bad.....I thought the ECU had to be married to the MPEM also...Sorry for the mis-information.....

Dennis, Can the Can-Doo set the TPS with the Riva ECU along with programming the keys????

So I know a guy that got a 06 programmed with a key and the 50 lbs injectors he want to deal with me on. should fire right up? Where are the displayed hours stored, in the ecu or in the cluster?

I have put my Riva ECU from my 06 RXP in to my mates o6 RXP many times you just need to use the lanyard which is attached to the ecu. And the hours are stored in the cluster i think because his hours don"t change when he has my ECU in his ski!!!

Hours are storied in both the ECU is run hours and the cluster is key on hours. You will have to have your throttle body reset for the ECU.
