    ECU R12X vs F12X? Whats the difference?

    After researching the ECU part number for my f12x I also decided to research the ECU for the r12x in which I found to be the exact part number. My question is since the part number is the same where does the extra 500rpm come from on the r model? Smaller pill, better flowing exhaust??

    there is no real rpm difference.
    The ECUs are the same. Earlier F12Xs had different harnesses and ecus were located in a different spot.

    If you see a difference, it is due to a problem.

    Yea brooke ur ski should be turning 6100+- if running at 12psi of boost via stock ecu. Get a boost gauge on there asap and then u will know.
    Usualy 5600-5800 @wot means ur only getting 8-9psi (usual cause for this is bad wgs) or ecu is detuning cause of knock issues

    I don't have an R model but if I remember correctly the head is a little bigger and the cam timing is different. I'm sure there are other differences.

    The engine is identical. Same part #s, same performance.
