    Trailer bunk screws

Got a general trailer question, the screws that attach the wooden bunks to the metal bracket on my Load-Rite double have rusted out a lot and I'm worried they are going to keep coming loose and cause a failure. Trailer is 4 years old and used in fresh/ salt water and it outside 6 months a year. Whats the best way to fix this? I was thinking moving the bunks backwards an inch or two and putting new screws in. Any advice is appreciated!

You can find some more screws at the home building stores like Lowes/ Home depot, ect. If you are lucky they might even have them in stainless steel. Just be sure and don't get them too long. Mcmastercarr. com has them also in ss, Tommy Jordan

Move the bunks and go with SS screws, maybe same spot with larger screws or if you want to impress your friends with your mechanical prowess the following concept works great
