    exhaust pipe removal

    i have been away from here fora whilebut finally want to fix my 04gp1300 ineed to redo my v force reed install as iam prettysure ihave a vacuum leak .is it possible to:remove the pipe from the rubbers back to gain access to the intake.so ican replace gaskets and hopefully do it right

    well I found a thread and it says to trim hull a little bit were cat is in rear exhaust as I can't seem to wiggle it out it is to tight

    It just kind of twists out. I would not trim the hull. Just rotate the top of the pipe slightly counter clockwise as you are pulling it out.

    ya wel its been a while since i worked on it i had bought amilled head from a guy on this forum and the chambers were in good shape but the threads in thhea were the pipe mounts to were stripped so i tapped them out iwas trying to take pipe off by l just removing stud that goes into pipe .i found out that u have to take the engin lift lugs out
