    2004 aquatrax R-12X showing a code 45 turbo problems

    I've got a 2004 aquatrax R-12X showing a code 8
any others out there had any experiance with this happening on this year
wondering if it had ECU problems like the earlier years?

The TP sensor sure is a pain to get to and it's housing where the connector attaches appears to be a bit wobbly

I cleared the code and ran it again, but no immediate return of code 8

I have 2 of the same models on a double trailer, to bad the TP sensors are such a pain to swap out

I compared the 2 differant craft's TP sensors resistances, the one in question has a bit more resistance and does flucuate a bit when I wiggle it's housing

I checked online for a price for a TP sensor for this year but couldn't find anything via honda's online part fish
Do they even offer this sensor or is it just considered a part of the throttle body assembly?

If it is available seperately any one know where to purchase one?

    Thanx for any feedback

    BTW
This ski is only used in fresh water

The TP sensor is part of the throttle body, but there are some of the more Black-Belt guys on here that have found an aftermarket replacement. Make sure your ECM is good before you change the TP.

    Ok Thanks
    Definately going to try that...
If you know the part number and or where to get the TP sensor I would really apperiate it, will keep info on file, etc...

Also for both craft the turbo waste gates are not opening(code 45), already checked the waste gate actuators w vacuum pump and they seem to be working ok

what's the best approach to get these wastegates working again?
remove the turbo assembles, do an on the bench tear down and inspect, etc...
Don't think they have ever been lubed or serviced
If the turbos need parts are there parts available to rebuild them
I called a local turbo shop in my area but they say they can't do anything with them
do you know of a specialty shop that fixes them if sent to them

    Thanks again

If its a code 45 (over boost) i would check the boost reference tube from top of turbo to wastegate. It has a small restrictor pill in it that could have.easily gotten stoped up. Blow thru this and see if it operates turbo.

"already checked the waste gate actuators w vacuum pump and they seem to be working ok"

BTW, the waste gate actuator works off of pressure instead of vacuum. 10 PSI should extend it 1/4" out.

Oops, I should have listed it as pressure in the message, yes at first I applied vaccum, then I induced pressure

    Thanks for the clarification
