    250x bad cavation after two hour prop change

    Hey mate has a 250x that we put a solars prop in about two hours ago all has been great until today it started to cav really bad when was new had none at all. All so the back of the ki seems loose on turns and has a weird noise turning one way.any help would be good I thought it maybe the pump bearing has gone or pump has a air leak.

    Better check them bearings ASAP and that the prop is. Not loose you will know for sure when the oil light comes on then you will no for sure

    If your pump bearing fails the impellor pushes the impellor shaft hard against the crank end, and this inturn can wreck your engine hence oil light.

    Get your pump off and check your bearings, also make sure the new impellor hasn't unwound.

    It could be simply the sign of cavitation due to sealant missing (came off) at the mating edges of intrake grate and ride plate to the hull bottom.

    Pump bearings all ok prop is fine as well. Did fine the blower tensoir bearing was gone so that may have been the noise. Will check the cav this weekend as I reseated the ride plate and pump. Thanks for all your help
