    Waterproof cameras

I have been searching the web but really cant find something I like. Most of the "waterproof" cameras they sell are just cases.

I am looking for something that does video, I already have a still digital camera. Any suggestions?

Canon makes a bunch of Digi cams (i have my eye on the A640) and makes these

Good luck finding a camcorder that is waterproof. If they exist, they will be extremely expensive.

If your looking for a still camera, the Olympus 720 SW works great. Shokproof to 10' drop, waterproof to 10'

Makes a great camera for on the SeaDoo. Just pull it out and shoot, no case, no worriy about getting water on it.

Yeah i figured as much that either they cost a few $$$$. Ill look into the Olympus line.

As for the Disc channel, the whole FL stingray, sharks, wierd bugs, gators, jellyfish, the occasional hurricane...why the heck did I move here??? Almost forgot about those fireants...ouch

You can forget about taking high quality video of any length with a still camera. You need a video camera. Even the least expensive one will take better video than any still camera. Some of the newer mini DV video cameras are tiny in size and several have waterproof cases available for them. This would be the way to go if you don't want to chance having water ruin the camera.

You can always look at one of these and carry it in a dry bag.

I'm hoping to have one of them in time for Mudbug, but we will see. Price tag is a bit high. But HD + dry bag and trusting you wont drop it in the ocean while videotaping and it'll work perfect.
