    Off idle bog

    Who else has it?

I nail the throttle from idle and the ski momentarily accelerates then BOGs........it doesn't matter what tune I flash to the ecu, it just bogs down, falling on it face, then accelerates to max speed......80.5.

So, I replace the VTech tuned ecu with a Riva ecu......NO BOG. WTF, over!

Oh, I forgot to add this......other than the bog situation, the VTech tune is awesome.

Ok, but why does it not do the exact same thing with the RIVA ECU?

This has got to be a first that someone has documented back to back ECU changes. Clearly, something is wrong with the V-Tech re-flash software.

I have the V-Tech re-flash with a 8750 rpm hard limit and when I hammer down from a dead stop - it is a rocket ship, ZERO hesitation, ZERO bog down!

The boys at V-Tech will make it right.......

Inasmuch as I don't have a datalogger, trying to look at the MTX when I hammer it, bogging, and accelerating, I don't dare look down at the gauge!

I sent Jonatan an e-mail of my a/f ratios......as I observed them in 500 rpm increments from idle to max rpm. Its all in the 11.1-11.9 range.

Because different ECUs have different fuel maps?

Dammit. I forgot to call you last weekend to let you borrow my LM2. Doh! I'll call you in 2 weeks when I am back in town for the summer so you can use it for data logging.

Mine doesn't do it. It is a machine and does really well throughout the rpm range. Sorry you are having this issue, possibly a fueling issue with your fuel pump not being able to keep up. I had the issue awhile back before the ecu reflash. I switched to the Walbro and have had zero issues. Good luck!

if the fuel pump was a problem, i would think it would give issues WOT when fuel pressure is at the highest.

And swapping ECUS fixed the problem so count out the fuel pump.
