Bow Eye Connector
Im curious what to use for the bow eye connector, that connects to the winch. I had heard that you aren't supposed to connect the snap hook on the winch directly to the bow eye. Ive seen some use just a circular piece of strap folded over, others use a screw locking D-ring.
Just wondered what you all use?

All PWC trailers that I've seen have a loop on the winch strap to wrap around the bow hook. You always want to run it under the bow stop to prevent the ski from bouncing up while being trailered. Some people add a safety chain on the bow for extra piece of mind...in addition to stern tiedowns, of course.

I have the strap on the on the winch through mine and another strap from the bow eye to the trailer. And the rear straps.

Well you can add an additional tie down strap to the winch hook or bow eye for additional safety. All that I have read up on says that you have to have a strap to the bow eye so that the winch hook is not directly connected to the ski. The web site I posted said the strength is 3500 pounds but I dont believe that is for the strap itself.
