GTR-Installed used SCOM module, sport mode before start up not working

I installed a used SCOM module part# RS11090-SCOM-11. I followed the directions and rechecked everything. I was trying to put it in sport mode before start up to confirm its working without water testing it and it won't work. The directions state the following: "
Installation of S.C.O.M. enables you to switch your craft to SPORT MODE before starting engine. Press START/STOP button to powerup Dash Display. Press MODE button repeatedly until DRIVING MODE scrolls across screen. Press SET button to enter driving mode
function. Press SET button again to activate sport mode. A message SPORT MODE ACTIVATED will appear. Gauge will automatically
return to normal display after a few seconds. SPORT MODE indicator will appear on gauge display. NOTE: Once powered down craft
will revert to default touring mode setting"

I don't have driving mode so I was thinking maybe this feature is not available on my ski, only true test I guess is to water test it, anyone else have these issues?? I tested connections with multimeter and it gets power and everything.

you dont need to cycle through hitting the mode button several times..

easiest way.. push and hold the mode button.. after about 2-3 seconds you will hear a beep..
    display should say sport mode..
hit the set button.. should hear another beep. telling you its activated..

now whether or not you have a sport mode that is in your owners manual..
but if you have IBR more than likeley you do..

Thanks but that wasn't my question. I know how to get to sport mode. I was talking about the SCOM module and the sport mode activation.

Hi, I don't think S.C.O.M. Unit will work if you transfer it from one ski to the other. Scom burns the VIN of the first ski it was installed on.

Did you notice any difference with the ski after you put it on the scom unit just curious? Someone at riva told me that it only works on 260 skis

i only told you bc i wasnt sure if you knew how to do it or not, its alot quicker doing it the way i described, the other way alot of times the display will time out prior to you starting the ski..

I was looking at RIVAS website and perhaps I need the older 2010 and up module? IDK, I am going to call Riva Monday and speak to a tech there.
