I don,t understand ?This is compression space so there is no contact with any moving parts .. I read about hot pockets that create hot spot's on piston but to my understanding when mixture get's lit up inside it get,s hot anywhere . Anybody have experience rebuilding engine with pitted head and have piston failure. Some experience will be helpful
    thanks

Theory is that it could cause detonation. with hot pockets and sharp points. You could sand it as smooth as possible to reduce the chances.

Thats head is gone, dont even risk using it, even if you 'smooth' it out. You need a milled 1200 head 150 psi or stock?
