    99 slx 1050

looking at another ski to add to my list its a 99 slx1050 guy says it has low compression in one cly. this guy bought it brand new my question is whats it worth also comes with a single place trailer. Is $1000.00 to mush for it. looks nice and clean.

It really depends why it has low compression. If it needs a complete engine overhaul, then that's not a very good deal. If you can get away with just a jug and piston, that's probably not too bad.

I got burned on the SLTX I bought. I thought it would only need a jug....until I got it off and found that the crank bearing was completely shot. Ending up spending way to much on that thing only to end up scrapping it 2 years later.

if it where here in il. i'd go 800.00 and sell the trailer for 300-400.00 and use that money to fix it

Sounds like it's a salt water boat and wasn't flushed very often or well.

    Run away.

It looks like a nice, clean ski, but that low cylinder could be bad or really bad.

A quick national scan of craigslist shows people are typically asking about $1800-2000 for that exact ski. It could need a $800 worth of engine + a whole lot of labor.

Go pick up one of these instead:

    You'll probably come out ahead.
