Need help.. Thinking of buying 1300r

Hello! I'm moving on from my '99 xp limited and need an opinion.

What do you pro's think this kind of ski:

    2008 gp1300r 7000,-

    100hr

    Riva efi controller
    Skat Trac ride plate
    Skat trac intake grate
    Riva pump sealing kit

    Solas impeller
    Riva Racing seat cover
    R&D air intake
    Riva d cat plate
    Riva free flow exhaust

The guy says it goes 72mph
DO you guys think that this is possible..? And also would these part's work together well? Im new to yamahas so i dont anything about them..

Would this be good choise over 2009 FZR 50hr, the FZR would cost 9500,-, gpr would be 7500,-

I hope some can give me opinion which way to go..

    Thanks

I'd go with the FZR personally. Reliable 4-stroke. Hate to say it too but I never buy modded machines. You basically have no idea if the guy did it right or not. You'd hope he did and is being honest but you never know now-a-days. Regardless of your decision I'd test ride which ever one you went with. And not just a putt-putt up and down the channel. I mean really run it. Some problems dont reveal themselves until the ski has been warmed up and put through its paces. Just my two cents. Good luck!

going by the mods he has...I say the 72mph is dreamometer not GPSed...but some out of the box with a few tweaks (uppitched prop, intake ,Jim R&D plate) have done that speed ..even better so might be wrong...video don't lie

Here it from someone who owns both two finely tuned high performance skis (2 stroke/4 stroke)

Go 4 stroke SC...technology is changing on these machines just as computers and cell phones are...with a few mods on a 4 stroke SC whether its an FZR ,SHO,RXP or ULTRA 300..the BOOST alone will convince you....JMHO...G/L

Spend the extra and get the fzr. With mods he has listed not sure why he has an efi controller on it.
A 100 hours is getting to the time to think about things needing fixed.

I'd go with a four stoke now if I could go back in time. Just too much to worry about with a GPR. Blast to ride, but I'm always worried about what might go wrong. Not sure on the the FZR but our GPR sucks gas like nobodys business.

Spend the extra dollars for the FZ......I have or had them all....1200s, 1300s, FX HO, VXR, FZS......... go with the FZ if you can. I still own all the skis in my sig......including the triple pipe.

Isn't that the truth, it's bad when you start getting priority service(New Jersey has gas attendants) at the local gas station. They get this huge smile on their face when I pull in because sometimes I'm there twice a day filling gas cans.

Great info everyone! The fuel consumption is big thing for me since the gasoline cost like 8$-10$ per gallon here in finland..

And also maybe it's true that 4-stroke is todays thing and 2-stroke is history..

    Thanks
