Just got the Recall notice for my 2012 VXS

Got the recall notice for my 2012 VXS.

The recall applies to all 2011-2012 VXR and VXS (1800cc) models according to this paper. I called my dealer and they were aware of it, and said Yama might be extending it to more VX, FX, and FZ models for those years... but as of current, only VXR and VXS.

interior jet nozzle must be replaced, cracks under use, causes loss of control/loss of power.

The note states it will take an average of 1 hour and 15 minutes for a dealer to repair, and to call dealer first (do not assume they have the replacment nozzle on hand).

attached is a picture of the letter:

that i do not know... yama could be using different parts manufacturers internationally... as waverunners are likely manufactured in multiple regions per continent. this letter states yamaha usa. best thing for you to do is contact yamaha itself directly... a local dealer may not even be aware of it yet.. as the letter mentions.
