At the time I was putting my jet ski back together, a couple people explained to me that if 1) if I was going to keep the ski for personal use, and 2) I could financially afford it, than buy oem parts. I believe there are several websites where oem cranks for for your jet ski can be purchased.

I have a complete rebuilt 1200 pv motor fom pwcengine. Ran it all last summer with no problems. I just put it in the water after the winter storage and it ran great. Would use them again.

There is nothing wrong with the practices used by PWCengine.com, they are just not used by the OEM (Yamaha) in manufacturing the engine, such as the crank differences (component quality). The motors from budget re builders will just not last the expected amount of time the OEM engines should, sleeved vs Nicasil Jugs, etc...

well this is good to hear. i called pwcengines and spoke to a guy about the bearings and he said they manufacture their own bearings.

    bad experience with pwcengine.com

Pwcengine.com is a bad choice. I paid $1,500 cash to rebuild kawasaki 1200F. After I picked up rebuilt engine in Long Island shop, my local mechanic installed engine and engine has seal leaks - bad gaskets was the diagnosis. But engine has to come out again. Mike at pwcengine said he wasn't reposnsible. I paid cash so I got the sort end of this deal.

I submitted $133 invoice for parts and labor from my mechanic and they still won't pay. This is Bad Business.
