    AFR O2 sensor install question

I want to know if this is a needed part on a bung weld for an 2006 j-pipe bung install. Do these exhaust get that hot at that point in the exhaust?

No no need for a heat sink.

Thanks. just wanted to be sure. Didn't want to fry a sensor right off the get go. What do you think of this setup? Is this a good one/reliable?

Excellent Choice... I use the MTX-L but i like the LC-1 since u can hide it when your not using it.

Make sure you pressure test that j pipe after you have the bung installed...Or you will be fauling o2 sensors...

i have yet to remove a j-pipe since i'm just startnig this mod adventure! does the water travel thru a visable line on the inside or a concealed passage? Can you hit it when you drill it or am I just testing that the bung weld doesn't leak exhaust heat to the sensor?
