The Original NYC Ride.... Whos In?
Hey guys and gals.
I haven't been on since last year but Summers here and we have to start thinking about NYC rides like we have been doing now for the last 4 years. I know Yonkers boat launch where we normally depart from is now closed to the public, So well have to probably launch a little farther north say from the bridge which is no big deal. If your new and don't know these rides, then I will enlighten you now.....
We (roughly 10-25 wave-runners) launch from usually Yonkers but now from the bridge hopefully. We then ride down to the Statue of Liberty, sometimes out to the verazzano bridge, up the east river to hells gate. From there we then sometimes ride to the flat waters outside the airport and then continue up through the east river and come back out on the Hudson where we then end the day with the kick ass panini's at a local restaurant on the water.
Its a long ride which distances usually reaching 60-100 miles depending on what we decide. IF your down to try or go again for our annual trip which we will try and plan 3-4 this year let me know and well be glad to have you join.
First Launch date is tentatively June 2 which is a Saturday. GF and BF (which ever way you swing) are welcome, but be warned now its a long ride for a passenger
Let me know what you people think about June 2nd.

Of you are interested in going a different route, Glenn island in new Rochelle has a ramp and there is a ramp in Evers boat yard in the country club section of the Bronx that will put you just north of the airport.

Where did you find this out? This is new to me, and I live a few blocks away from Yonkers ramp. I went to their website after I read your comment, and the only thing it said was that there is now a $10 fee to launch; however Yonkers, being Yonkers, it is rare that there is anyone there to collect the money. At any rate, I will go there the first chance I get and report back.......
